These terms apply to Steroid Tracker ("the app"), published by SRG Consulting and listed in the App Store and Google Play as Prednisone Taper Tracker, Prednisolone Taper Tracker or Prednisona: pauta descendente, depending on the country. Using the app means accepting these terms and the privacy policy.
1. What the app does — and does not do
The app is a recording and reminder tool for a corticosteroid schedule that a healthcare professional has already prescribed. It shows what was entered for each date and lets each dose be logged.
The app does not calculate, recommend, adjust or validate doses or treatments, and it never changes the plan after a missed dose. It is not a medical device, does not replace the advice of a doctor or pharmacist and must not be used in an emergency. The end of the recorded calendar is not advice to stop a medication. The instructions of the prescribing professional always prevail over what the app shows.
2. Information entered in the app
The user is responsible for entering amounts, units, dates and times exactly as prescribed and for checking them against the prescription. If anything shown in the app differs from the prescription, the prescription prevails.
3. Reminders
Reminders are optional local notifications delivered by the phone's operating system. Delivery can be delayed or prevented by notification permissions, battery saving, Focus modes, the phone being off or the app not being opened for some time. Reminders are an aid, not a guarantee, and should not be the only way to remember a dose.
4. Data on the device
Records are stored only on the device and are excluded from backups and device transfers. They can be lost if the app is deleted, the device is lost or damaged, or Delete local records is used, and SRG Consulting cannot recover them. Shared or printed files leave the app's protection and become the responsibility of the user and the recipient.
5. Free version, ads and Remove Ads
Every tracking feature is free. The free version shows non-personalized ads: banners, an occasional full-screen ad and a short rewarded ad offered before a PDF is shared or printed. If no ad can be shown, the file is shared or printed without one. Ads never appear on a medication action.
Remove Ads is an optional one-time purchase processed by Apple or Google under their own terms. It removes all ads, including the rewarded ad before sharing. It is restored with the same store account and does not transfer between iPhone and Android. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. There are no subscriptions.
6. License and acceptable use
SRG Consulting grants a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to use the app on devices the user owns or controls, for personal and non-commercial purposes. Copying, modifying, redistributing, reselling or reverse-engineering the app is not permitted, except where the law allows it. If the app was downloaded from the App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.
7. Intellectual property
The app, including its design, code, text, graphics and brand, is the intellectual property of SRG Consulting.
8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The app is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, SRG Consulting does not guarantee that the app will be free of errors or interruptions and is not liable for health outcomes, missed or incorrect doses, reminders that are not delivered or loss of data arising from the use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law or affects statutory consumer rights.
Changes to Terms
SRG Consulting reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the application after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
